Akuro Ltd specialise in providing bespoke training for industry, the private sector and general public. Managing a small team and responsible for the delivery and management of the Level 3 Assessing Vocational Achievement (AVA) qualification. This involves ensuring that all staff are up to date and current with any changes implemented by the awarding body and any changes applied by us in how we teach the criteria. This has involved rewriting session plans and the production of extra resources to ensure the courses run smoothly. Also responsible for the development of learners undertaking teaching qualifications which involves booking onto courses, marking work and providing feedback both written and verbally. Other aspects of this role involves dealing with leavers from all arms and services of the Armed Forces through the Enhanced Learning Credit and Standard Learning Credit process and the organisation of courses specific for service leavers.

Accountable for ensuring discipline and values and standards are maintained within the work place for over 350 personnel both military and civilian over 4 locations from Bristol to Eastbourne which involves regular visits and training to all staff. Responsible for advising personnel about directives and policies from; security, fire safety and training. Designed and implemented quality management systems and established a successful training department to centralise all training requirements for the organisation with training programmes and personal development, this in turn involves the development and management of both junior, middle and senior management. Ensured that common aims were met; by regular communication with senior officers thus sharing vision and strategies to be undertaken in line with the organisations objectives.

Key responsibilities here were compiling and evaluating the training requirements for a Regiment of over 400 personnel for yearly training, which involved the preparation of over 320 personnel for deployment to Afghanistan on two separate occasions. For this to run smoothly and ensure all training is being delivered correctly; supervised and assessed all instructors through observing teaching and providing feedback. Planned and delegated responsibility to a training team of 6 instructors which ensured all training areas, accommodation, feeding, transport and resources where booked and delivered to a high standard. Post-training, was responsible for the collation of all results which were stored both electronically and in paper form for yearly audit. As an establishment we were also responsible for the continuing development of all soldiers with the booking of courses both military and civilian.

Responsible for daily management and technical training of a team of 25 personnel, both in house and on operations. Created and planned specific training for personnel deploying on operations that also involved the preparation of communications equipment costing in excess of 5 million pounds. Ensured that all equipment was situated as per consumer requirements to ensure maximum efficiency at all times. Was directly responsible for the movement of all communications equipment around the theatre of operations and ensuring its serviceability at all times by deploying small communication detachments. By doing this, it guaranteed all agencies concerned had the ability to communicate by either phone or IT.
