With great honour, I can now announce that I have been appointed as the Regimental Events Coordinator (REC). This is a part-time role being run for 12 months to see if it is a viable and useful addition to RHQ. I will be moving back to Wales in the coming months as I finish my resettlement, I hope to be in or near the Swansea area, so will work predominantly from home and not in London. The REC’s mission is to act as a conduit between the wider WG community, the Regiment and the Charity, in order to bring groups together, generate a sense of belonging, and an element of fundraising for the Charity, through coordinated, well-advertised activities and events, predominantly in Wales.

Logistic & Stock manager of a unit of over 600 personnel. Responsible to the CEO for the accounting and equipment care of all technical equipment worth over £30m. Responsibilities include the asset tracking of numerous types of high spec weapons, optics, ammunition and vehicles - in preparation for Operations. Managing a diverse but dedicated team of suppliers and mechanics who ensure that the equipment is maintained through rigorous inspection regimes.

Responsible for the daily management of a dedicated training team providing Initial Phase One Training for all British Army Recruits, less Infantry. In addition, the focus and lead Training Company for Reserve Force Phase Two Training.Planning, coordinating and executing training programs including exercises, ranges and adventure training also career managing and validating the instructors delivering this training. Also responsible for fund management, course loading and equality and diversity, in the regiment.The Company is responsible for training over 400 regular and 600 reserve soldiers annually

Responsible for the management of Recruiters throughout Wales and the bordering counties of England. In addition, administering the Recruit Allocation Plan ensuring the correct numbers joining the Infantry Training Battalion in Catterick. I also Monitor the Recruit Support Team in Wales conducting Outreach visits and activities with the Army Cadet Force. Responsible for advertising, budgets and liaison with local authorities ensuring access and presence throughout Wales is constant.This is an additional appointment to my RCMO duties.

Manager of Human Resources for the Welsh Guards. Active member of the senior management committee and directly responsible for the recruitment and placement all of new recruits into the unit and the whole life management of careers for 650+ soldiers from the most junior to those who are applying for a commission. Responsible for the selection and training of personnel working in the Human Resources Department.Responsible for all resettlement training at first line, including advise on finance, course booking and referral to Other agencies.Equality and Diversity Manager relating to employment within the Armed Forces, and Rear Operations Group (ROG) adjutant during the regiments deployment to Helmand.

Providing confidential welfare support that is responsive to the needs of our soldiers and their families, including visits to bereaved families and those in need of first line counseling during the regiments tour to Helmand province Afghanistan, where seven soldiers were KIA.Direct interaction with Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Child Support Agency and local Councils.Having an in-depth knowledge of welfare and health issues affecting members of the unit.Developing a close community spirit between the unit and the local community to aide social integration and work together in a partnering spirit. Helping soldiers and their families return to work and recover from physical and mental injuries in preparation for return to military or civilian life.Active member of the senior management committee.

Responsible for the mentoring of an Afghan National Army Company Commander in Helmand Province.Conducting Operations with over 120 soldiers from the CS Kandak and coordinating the small team of 6 British Soldiers supporting the ANA.

The senior soldier in the Regiment, the focal point for the maintenance of standards and the moral compass for all members of the Unit.

Responsible for the close down of the Banja Luka Metal Factory, as the last Infantry Battle Group in Bosnia.Accounting for Several Million Pounds worth of equipment being re-distributed to other theatres around the world including weapons, vehicles and ammunition.Conducting the refurbishment of the Wellington Barracks Officer and Sergeant's Mess and the daily accountability of infrastructure, policy and equipment for the Battalion and lodger units.

Responsible for all Security, Duties, Ceremonial training and preparation for the Queens Birthday Parade, Presentation of New Colours and Freedom Parades.

Responsible for the daily management of 120 Soldiers in an Infantry Battalion. During operations in Iraq my Company mentored the Iraqi Police providing equipment, training and expertise leading up to the first democratic elections in the newly liberated Country.
