I was engaged as Construction Manager for the FMG Pilbara Transmission 220kV Kanyirri Substation from the Project tender stage in the Perth office through to site setup, Construction and Pre-Commissioning onsite. This involved assisting with estimating, subcontractor selection and engagement, producing project documentation such as Work Packs and CRAW. Site facilities and project materials transport/delivery, team selection and roster were included in my duties. As this site was located outside Port Hedland in the Pilbara region of WA we also had to produce and implement a site Cyclone Management Plan.
