About Darren Rewi

A year after we were released from Covid lockdown like many of us I have pivoted into other areas. Take Tuia is a cultural engagement company that uses purakau to tell our stories with mana and add an authentic voice. Whanau and the community has become my most important focus. I now lead, advocate and support across multiple kaupapa including the business disciplines of Health and Safety, Change Management and Management. But the devastation left by the pandemic needs Leaders to stand up and support the people ensuring their mana is maintained. My role is to help achieve this by creating partnerships that develop opportunities for all and ensuring that whanau maori are at the table and prospering when we return to normality. I will work to engage with those seeking partnerships to create a better world.I have a passion to inspire the Tamariki and Rangatahi through purakau, by telling our old stories we inspire the young to dare to imagine a better world.Naku te rourou nau te rourou ka ora ai te iwi - with your basket and my basket the people will live.
