Mana Tahuna Charitable Trust was born out of need to support whanau in the Queenstown Lakes and wider area from the effects of the pandemic. The trust started by advocating for rescue food and in June 2020 started delivering kai packs to whanau, we are still delivering kai and so much more. Mana Tahuna enables and empowers whanau in Hauora and wellbeing, Rangatahi and also through creating Employment and business initiatives. Mana Tahuna reaches out to the community on behalf of all those in need of mana.

I am able to provide value to Business both large and small also experienced leading Sporting bodies, Regional Sports Organisations Maori Organisations and similar with my skill set and experience in Management, Operations Management, Strategic Management and Health and Safety. • A long corporate career in a senior management position gaining qualifications in Change Management, High Performance Engagement, Health and Safety, extensive HR experience managing a large workforce and a Corporate governance role within the company at a national level. • Sports governance roles including at RST and RSO level and also at Club level assisting clubs through conflict and change. • Social and Cultural governance which includes at local and regional level from the Arts to Primary Health Organisations.• Iwi governance including Police, Health and DOC relationships.• A Sports background coaching to National level including extensively in the female game with Football.My education includes a Bachelor of applied Management majoring in Strategic Management and I am currently nearly finished a Graduate Diploma in Professional Practices (OSH)So as you can see I have an extensive background in both the Not for profit and Sporting landscapes and well aware of the pressure points, funding needs and desired outcomes that exist in this space. My value other than my experience is that I am self-employed ( I work with my wife) and unencumbered our children have all left the nest so I can bring flexibility and mobility to a role. I enjoy achieving and the challenge of this field of work and have a passion for the NFP and sporting organisation arena so discussions around remuneration are always negotiable.

Interim GM working with the board and stakeholders (Clubs and NZRL) to put in place the strategic plan to strengthen the game and the clubs. To put in place long term sustainable initiatives that benefit all. A great outcome for WRL has been the financial turn around achieved through better engagement with the Clubs and stronger relationships with key stakeholders including RST Sport Wellington, NZRL and the funding agencies.

Part of the Wellington Senior Management team tasked with managing a large and complex Ground Handling Operations operating 24/7 in a safe and eficient manner. Leading 185 staff to achieve a world class transport logistics operation covering Freight, Domestic and International Passenger Operations where meeting the customer expectation was the goal. Vision was to provide an operation that is innovative and customer focused, where the staff are challenged and developed but also where the welfare of the staff was paramount. This was achieved by raising their level of professionalism and awareness of health and safety.

Ensuring that all who engage with Sport Wellington either as a staff member, participant or contractor can be confident that safety is a priority. Facilitating through the use of data and engagement safety as a priority. Proud to have provided the oversight to Sport Wellington for the Cigna Round the Bays run 2017.
