Darren Ryan is a Professional Photographer, Artist and Owner at Pigtown Media, a Digital Marketing and Commercial Photography/Videography company that specialises in online content creation and is based in Limerick, Ireland. ( www.pigtownmedia.ie ) He has recently graduated with a Master of Arts (Hons) in Social Practice and The Creative Environment (MA SPACE) from TUS (2023). Other academic achievements include a Degree in Visual Communications (Graphic Design) also from Limerick School Of Art and Design (1994), a City and Guilds in Social Media For Business.(2015) and a BA in Photography Film and Video in Limerick School of Art and Design (2018),He is also the founder of Limerick Street Photography and is currently curating the groups sixth annual show which will take place on Culture Night 2024. He has had numerous solo and group exhibitions (including EVA), has been published in several journals internationally and has Art Documentation work in the permanent collection of the Arts Council Of Ireland and the National Museum Of Ireland . He has also recently had some photographic documentation work added to the Irish National Curriculum in the Art History section. Awards include an International Gourmand Award for Food Photography and The Spirit Of Limerick Photographic Award and twice runner up in the Yes Chef National Social Media Awards.
