From April 2007, my assignments have drawn on my IT Project Management expertise. These have been outlined below. • Falcon Optimisation and Fraud Predictor Projects. Budgets £230,000 and £250,000. I was chosen to project manage these two projects simultaneously. Fraud Predictor improves the current fraud detection rate within Barclaycard by expanding the current cardholder behaviour profiling performed by Falcon. • Fraud Real Time Contact Project. Budget £670,000. This project improved the current operating model for managing transactions that have been identified as being potentially fraudulent. The project provided a real-time strategic interface between Barclays and Adeptra for fraud information transmission in real-time. Adeptra are a 3rd party service provider (to Barclaycard) of automated contact handling and resolution. • Falcon Optimisation Project. Budget £285,000. This project enhanced the Barclaycard mainframe process and allowed additional data to be passed from external sources to the Falcon fraud system. This allowed better analysis of the transaction data and more efficient fraud detection.

This is a critical system for Barclaycard that processes all the files required for producing cards for Barclaycard and its partners. My team supported this system 24 hours a day both on and off shore.I also provided support for a number of legacy applications, requiring a number of different technical skills. Prior to working at Barclaycard my career has consisted of clerical work within the Barclays branch network. This work has given me excellent business acumen as well as the skills needed for dealing and working with people. I worked from basic junior duties up through to Lending Officer, which involved a period in debt recovery where part of his role was to negotiate outstanding finance repayment with customers and help them with their budgeting techniques. My last position was as an Account Executive at the Premier Banking Centre. This work involved supplying a tailored banking service to the high value customers of the Bank.
