I have written content in many genres, including the outdoor industry, crime/criminology, marketing and news. Having a graduate degree in criminology enables me to understand complex statistical analyses and make data/results understandable and entertaining to lay audiences. I have outstanding communication and interviewing skills, and pride myself on writing engaging copy, blogs and stories that appeal to a wide range of audiences. My writing immediately captures readers’ attention and takes them on a journey that entertains, informs and inspires. I have also worked as a data analyst and consultant for several different employers, including the Michigan Department of Education, Library of Michigan and Michigan Public Health Institute. I am very adept at conducting data analysis, data cleaning and storage, and presenting study results to targeted audiences. Finally, I have experience conducting focus groups, interviewing a wide variety of professionals and/or study participants, designing research methodologies and carrying out both quantitative and qualitative research.
