Uses a event based architecture with Azure event hub as the aggregator engine to injest events and windowing functions to perform analysis and send data back to the clients.• Mobile game on iOS and Android using Unity as the game engine and Azure Mobile services for backend storage and push notifications. • Booking system mobile app and web apps. This is a cloud native application that utilises Azure CosmosDB, blob storage, push notifications and containerised deployment to App Service. Built with Angular for the web application and Xamarin for the mobile app. Currently in development.

Responsibilities• Responsible for the architecture, design, build and ongoing development & maintenance of a web application delivered to users Australia wide. The system manages both the development and financial forecasting aspects of Stockland real estate development projects handling billions of dollars of forecasting. A complex system that integrates with six others business systems (TM1, SalesForce, SAP RE-FX, Calumo & internal applications)• Lead a team of 8 offshore and 8 onshore resources in an agile environment to iterate on the solution and continually deliver value to the business. The team was composed of senior developers, testers and business analysts. Technical interviewing and hiring.• Ownership of roadmap for application including continuous enhancements to meet developing business needs, performance upgrades, technical improvements, and enterprise integration with other internal applications (SQL data warehouse, BizTalk, JDE, SAP, TM1) and external platforms (Office365, Salesforce).

Responsible for running the application services division within Emerio Australia. Utilising a team of five to ten resources (Architect, Developers, Testers and Business Analysts), augmenting with offshore team members when necessary, I delivered multiple concurrent projects. I was responsible for the project delivery, schedule, budgets, reporting, stakeholder management and acted as development manager for the software delivery team. Projects:• Delivered a B2B portal that integrated with Dynamics AX ERP. The solution required working with an external vendor to build the required AX extensions that then integrated with the portal. This was a logistically difficult project having to manage multiple teams across multiple time zones (Australia, India & Germany) and with aggressive timelines. The solution was delivered on time and on budget. • Delivered an enterprise application integration platform (on top of NServiceBus), performed requirements gathering workshops to produce requirements specification, integrated existing applications, built operations dashboard. This project was delivered on time and on budget utilising a blended team across both parties. • Delivered an iPad app that allowed business users publish SharePoint content to a Sitecore CRM. Achievements• Successful delivery of technically and logistically complex projects on-time and on-budget project implementations.• Building and maintaining relationships with key business stakeholders and third-party vendors to build trust and long-term relationship.• Management of multiple teams of local and offshore resources. Working as the application architect and lead developer for a green field SaaS project that would allow fleet pool management and booking my achievements include:• Working from an unstructured list of requirements to created a structured product that would meet the agreed MVP functionality• Defining the overall user experience(UX) using modern frameworks that would achieve a responsive allowing the single code-base target all platforms i.e. desktop, tablets and mobiles.• Project tracking and reporting to senior management. • Technologies used: ASP.Net MVC3, C#, WCF, VS2010, SQL2008. JQuery, Twitter Bootstrap.

Working as the Technical Architect & Tech Lead for a green field SaaS project that would integrate Ezypay’s existing billing platform with a new membership management application.My achievements include:• Creating the technical architecture & building a proof-of-concept application that validated the design of some innovative technology configurations.• Built an offshore technical team, performing technical interviews and built complete development team of ten people offshore in Kuala Lumpur.• Track project progress, work breakdown & allocation, reporting to senior management.• Gathering requirements and collate them into user stories that would be used to develop an application that could be sold in a SaaS model that offered multiple subscription options.Integrated Silverlight with Point-of-Sale hardware (POS for .Net) using COM automation. The POS abstraction library was wrapped in a COM object that exposed events that were passed via the Silverlight object and allowed the local machines peripherals such as barcode readers, receipt printers and cash drawers to be accessible via the browser user interface. • Working with UI/UX team members to create a user experience that made the product simple and effective.• Technologies used: C#, Silverlight, VS2010, SQL2008, SOA architecture with WCF.

Working as a senior engineer I built the backend software to support the 'In-Running' (live betting) offering. This involved integration with multiple data providers and building market management tools for use by market makers. With many events occurring concurrently the toolset was optimised for multithreaded execution so it could manage all events.• Leading the development team, assigning work, providing estimates, and tracking and reporting progress.• Creating an agile development environment, introducing TDD and creating unit tests over existing code, using continuous integration, automatic versioning, and deployment to staging and production environments.• Introducing agile principles (iterations, stand-ups etc.) to make team more flexible, productive and robust (knowledge sharing via pair programming).• Developing next generation website with Visual Studio 2008, ASP.Net, C#, LINQ, .Net 3.5, WCF and JQuery.• Developing database schema for in-running scoreboards on Oracle 10i.• Integrating our systems with 3rd party products and services.

Working as a Senior Software Developer I upgraded and extended an existing ASP.Net application and lead the project to develop new reports with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) for the sales and finance departments of the business. I was required to quickly understand the business and investigate and understand a third-party database that would be used for report data. I liaised with various departments to consolidate existing reporting requirements and design new reports in SSRS to deliver the required business intelligence.Lead team of two, mentor junior developer, provide estimates on work and report progress to senior management.• Implement a better development environment and advise on coding standards/techniques in .Net and TSQL.• Extend and improve existing ASP.Net application.• Upgrade to Visual Studio 2005 VB.Net and consolidate multiple related projects.• Create Web Service for delivery of existing reports.• Refactor existing code for performance and maintainability.• Design and implementation of Tables, Relationships, Views, Stored Procedures, Triggers, Functions in SQL Server 2005 to support SSRS reports.• Reverse engineer a third-party database to gain a thorough understanding of its schema so that I could create the required reports against it.

Working as a senior developer in a team that used an agile/scrum approach to development and manage a project to build a web application. This was a green-field’s project with only high-level requirements. I produced a functional specification and mock-ups for approval by the business team before beginning work on the actual application. Built with focus on responsive design for use across multiple devices; desktop, tablet and smartphone.• Designed application architecture and developed the web application from scratch.• Application was developed using Visual Studio 2005/2008, Team Foundation Server, .Net 2.0, ASP.Net with C#, ASP.Net Web Services. SQL Server 2005, Full Text Search, and Reporting Services.• Completed design and implementation of web UI. Using ASP.Net with C#, ASP.Net Ajax and JQuery. • Completed design and implementation of back end using SQL Server. Tables, Relationships, Views, Indexed Views, Stored Procedures, Triggers, Functions.• Search engine implemented using SQL Full Text Search.• Tuned the entire web application, front end and back end, to maximize the load on our hardware and improve the perceived speed of the site to the end user. This was achieved by designing the SQL indexing strategy to maximise the performance on the back end, optimising the ASP.Net application and optimises the delivery of the content and ensure a fast response time to the user.• Liaise with our hosting partner and work on site to performance test the application. Performance testing was done using visual studio 2005.

Working as a senior developer within the product team I was required to design and develop enterprise applications written in .Net. across Windows applications and services; ASP.Net Web/Intranet applications and Web Services (ASP.Net and Contract First). These enterprise level applications were required to be very resilient and performant as they were business critical systems often dealing in millions of Euro. My accomplishments included:Designing and developing complex applications with the full Software Development Life Cycle while always considering the overall system architecture.• Developing applications using the latest tools and technologies including: Visual Studio 2005/2003, .Net 2.0, VB.Net, ASP.Net, Web Services (ASP.Net and Contract First) and SQL Server 2005/2000.Developing a strongly typed Data Access Layer (DAL) that was code generated against the SQL Server database schema. • Designing and coding multithreaded applications with performance and resilience in mind.• Designing SQL Server database’s using many features of SQL server including Stored Procedures, Triggers, user Defined Functions, Indexes (clustered and standard), Views, Indexed Views, Foreign Key Constraints, Low Level Locking (implemented for multithreaded isolation) and also creating a Code Generated Procedures for Data Access Layer. SQL 2005 Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server integration Services (SSIS) Packages to migrate legacy data to new database for integration with our software. • Changing the build procedure to use an agile model. This included continuous integration using Subversion, MSBuild and Cruise Control that would automatically build the entire product suite including the required database.• Liaising with customers in face-to-face situations to offer technical guidance and recommendations. In these meetings I was required to deal with all levels of staff from upper management to business people and IT staff.

Lead developer on a new intranet application used Australia wide. This was a green fields project, written in ASP.Net with C# and backed with SQL Server 2000 that allowed business bankers to track and distribute leads for various business banking products. SQL Server utilised to build reporting OLAP cubes across thousands of deals and hundreds of millions of dollars.

Built an internal system for the management of booking and installation of creatives for both APN outdoor billboards and TaxiMedia mobile billboards.

Working as a senior developer and team leader on telephony and internet monitoring applications utilising Visual C++ with Microsoft Foundation Classes (MFC). The application integrated with many third party devices and software solutions to extract data for the purpose of reporting on activity.

Built embedded systems for residential and commercial security systems including both hardware and software components. Developed Windows applications that integrated with these systems to enable realtime management and monitoring.
