The Metropolitan Police Service is the largest police service in the UK with a clear vision, to make London the safest city in the world by cutting crime and by acting with full transparency and integrity.I am attached to a specialist unit (Borough Support Unit (BSU)) carrying out sensitive operations inclusive of plain clothes involving surveillance and pro-active policing, carrying out raids and restricted operations.During my time, I have been involved in tackling local crime and disorder, responding to 999 calls to public disorder, anti sociable behaviour, criminal damage, assault, drugs misuse, domestic violence and more.My responsibilities also includes arresting suspects, processing prisoners, completing crime reports and updating the crime reporting system. Within this role, I have presented a professional manner in dealing with sensitive incidents, attended court for evidential purposes, being able to keep a calm attitude and a methodical approach at all times. London hosted the summer Olympic and Paralympic Games 2012 in Stratford, East London. A major international multi-sport event celebrated by millions of viewers and spectators across the world. Transport for London (TfL) had huge responsibility of ensuring all transport networks were functioning to facilitate passengers throughout the games period, minimising disruptions to those travelling to the Olympic Games, work and the general community.I was exclusively head hunted on a short term contract with the responsibility of implementing the safe and secure passage for over 400,000 Olympic Games spectators daily passing through Stratford, one of the busiest transport hubs in London.Based in Central London, I worked to the Head of Real Time Operations in TfL with the responsibility of managing a large budget, provision of strategic guidance and support on corporate procedures. As part of the Olympic Management Team, I assisted with the secure contract for services from suppliers, participate in board meetings discussing strategy, delivery methods and risk assessments. I focused on specific investigations that have a European dimension respective to organised criminality such as human trafficking, fraud, drugs and organised acquisitive crime where substantial funding is available to support such investigations via the EC.I presented niche ideas to senior managers (ACPO level, cabinet level and councillor status) involving solutions to increase investigative capacity and capability whilst delivering at reduced costs at a time of fiscal constraint.This involved presenting the concept through presentations, deliver the idea and proposal at face to face meetings in order to identify the need or requirement. These meetings included specific tasks and actions in order to develop appropriate projects in line with the clients priorities and objectives.I created stage zero evaluation reports, produced Project Initiation Documents (PIDs), financial forecast reports and extensive research and analysis of the project field. Throughout this period, I successfully tendered for and won various tenders inclusive of;- MoD - the supply of investigative services (IHAT) c£4m- MoD - the supply of investigative services (SIB UK) c£6m- Metropolitan Police Service - Investigative services for riots 2011 c£2.5m
