Managed the overall processes within the pharmacy’s front end (order entry) and back end (dispensing) departments for the pharmacy with over 80,000 prescriptions processed per month. Supervised over 50 employees. Coordinated the renewal process for the pharmacy technician licenses as well as working with compliance department on all new employees becoming registered within their first six months. Continued to maintain all other duties previously assigned as the IT Administrator.

Maintained all computer equipment onsite at the pharmacy as well as numerous software programs. Wrote SQL queries and Crystal Reports that helped departments manage the workflow or locate information from our FrameworkLTC SQL databases. Maintained all software updates for FrameworkLTC, FWHL7, FrameworkFlow, ERX Queue Manager, Surescript Queue Manager, and Drug files. Worked with corporate IT team with any projects that needed to be completed without causing any downtime for the pharmacy. Helped assisted living communities with any electronic medication records issues that arose working directly with them and the vendor to make sure any concerns were resolved as a three-way partnership. Traveled to the customers’ locations to represent the pharmacy on all new electronic medication record programs.

Managed the process of entering prescriptions, customer records, and assisted living records all in a manner to keep scheduled routes leaving on time. Led a team to effectively handle all inbound and outbound calls efficiently making sure to resolve issues. Managed the payroll of the department through the ADP e-time system. Coordinated the first time registration of over 70 pharmacy technician employees at current location.

Oversaw data processing (front end), dispensing (back end), education and billing/collection departments. Worked closely with assisted living management and staff as well as directly with the residents and families of residents. Knowledge of all basic insurance plans including implementing the changes with the introduction of Medicare part D in 2006. Prepared prescription reports, spreadsheets and financial reports including P & L statements as requested by the President/CEO of the company. Monitored shrinkage within the departments. Marketed outside to potential assisted living facilities as well as to existed facilities. Maintained responsibilities after company sold to Omnicare in January 2008 thru March 2008 along with new responsibilities at Omnicare.
