o Currently leading a team of over 30 engineers to design, fabricate, and test a 6U CubeSat, which is competing in NASA’s Cubequest competition. The CubeSat will be sent into lunar orbit, and must survive there for a year’s time while completing a variety of tasks. Organizing meetings, utilizing project management software, follow up with team mates on deadlines, and make sure we meet competition requirements. Won $30,000 and third place behind MIT and Cornell in the second ground tournament of the competition.o Designing the combustion chamber and injector plate for a 3D printed 1 lb thrust HTP monopropellant rocket engine which will slow the cubesat from a translunar injection into a lunar orbit. o Secured sponsorship for testing equipment, engine printing, and advisorship through Metal Technologies and Space Micro.  Presented the Moonshot Alpha Project to both companies’ CEO’s, and worked directly with them to ensure our success.

o Worked on the propulsion system for the MX-1e lander, which is slated to be the first private vehicle to travel to the Moon.o Determined all the line sizing, material choice, valve requirements, and helped modify the P&ID of the propulsion system Utilized excel to create a dynamic system to analyze the pressure drops for multiple line sizes.o Fabricated a brass board to test the flow properties of the propulsion system, and compare to expected results. Bent and flared the pipes, tested all the sensing equipment using LabVIEW, and conducted flow tests.o Worked with the engine development contractor to check all assumptions and design calculations for the main engine.
