I am the senior executive manager of the Commission's policy and research work. This includes strategic oversight of commission's work program and directions (and meeting all legislative requirements); United Nations and international treaty engagement; design and maintenance of systems for planning, monitoring and evaluation, project management and budgeting; staff and resource management; leadership; liaison with government and parliament; fund-raising; compliance systems. Specific expertise in international engagement; indigenous rights, minority rights and children's rights.

Oversight the activities of the Social Justice Commissioner including: writing / editing of annual Social Justice and Native Title Reports to federal Parliament; lead secretariat for creation of new national indigenous representative body; lead secretariat and conception of Close the Gap coalition (from 2007 - 2010); draft and deliver speeches, submissions to parliamentary inquiries; and provide legal advice at UN fora as representative of the Commission.

Board Member of ANTAR National - advocacy organisation that promotes the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Member of the National Management Committee (from 2009) prior to major governance reforms that saw movement to a more formal board structure in 2014. Currently National Treasurer (since 2020) and have led multiple board committees on fundraising, strategic development and policy reform.

Proud board member of the fantastic Participate Australia (formerly FRANS), a not for profit community based organisation that provides services for people with a disability. Participate Australia is about empowered living for people with disability and truly puts into practice the Convention on the Rights of Persons with a Disability . I chair the Service Diversification Committee (previously Strategic Projects = Committee) of the Board which assesses new service initiatives and provides advice through to the board on key strategic issues. In this capacity, I am a member of our Risk Oversight Committee as we navigate the new systems of the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
