Darren Garrett is a BAFTA award winning Creative Director, Consultant and Designer with over 15 years experience in games, animation and digital projects.

 In this time he has founded and managed a renowned award winning digital entertainment studio, Littleloud, steering the conceptual and creative development of major projects for clients and the companies own IP.

He has been at the forefront of innovative educational gaming content, including the BAFTA winning Bow Street Runner, Games for Change winner The Curfew, and Sweatshop, voted by MIT as one of their top five “Best Practice Serious Games.” He is also an accomplished animation director, leading the team behind the BAFTA nominated Doctor Who special Dreamland, which broke records for red button viewing on BBC 1.

 As a hands on creative he is involved in all levels of production, working with writers, developers, artists, animators, producers, and game designers.He now works as a freelance Creative Director and consultant helping companies develop ideas & in the production of projects with companies such as BBC, Channel 4, Penguin, London Transport Museum, Storythings and Plug-In Media.Darren has spoken at various conferences and events in the UK & abroad, and has featured in leading publications such as Wired, Edge & Computer Arts. He is an occasional guest lecturer at Portsmouth University and Sussex University, and has acted as a judge at the BAFTA Children's Awards.Clients have included BBC, Channel 4, Sony, Paramount, Universal, Disney, CBBC, CBeebies, Science Museum, London Transport Museum, MTV, Nickelodeon, Bacardi, Hat Trick, So and Lion Television.Specialities include creative direction & management, story development, film & game direction, design, animation, and doodling.
