We are a medium sized New Zealand owned and operated logistics company. With three sites; our main office being located in Albany, Auckland and our warehouses being located around Auckland Airport, we cover a wide range of services including Import and Export Shipping (both air and sea), Customs Clearance, and 3rd Party Logistics Warehousing (storage and distribution both domestically and internationally as well as container devanning).My role is tasked with leading and ensuring the day to day function and operation of the 3PL Warehouses. With a dozen staff reporting directly and indirectly to myself, my role focuses on facilitating best practice to ensure the warehouse runs efficiently and accurately for a list of clients within multiple areas I.e. storage, pick/pack (both bulk and courier freight), devanning and inwards handling, and distribution.Our areas of focus covers clients of both food grade and dry goods, distributed domestically via multiple contracted trucking and courier services.Tasks include:Ensuring overall functioning of day to day warehouse operational procedures; meeting of customer specific KPIs via inward goods processing, and picking/packing and distribution of orders, as well as internal processes,Warehouse analysis of product, best practice storage and distribution, warehousing processes etc,Looking after key accounts for several of our top clients,Order quality control; ensuring accuracy while meeting client specific KPIs,

My role involves looking after the day to day warehousing requirements of several key accounts. This involved but is not limited to:Customs clearance and acceptance into store of client related goods,Processing and coordinating orders,Processing and coordinating returns,First point of contact for queries.

In addition to my previous roles, my current role involves analysing our current 3PL warehousing processes, and correcting and implementing processes to promote efficient and economical outcomes. This involves full client breakdowns, establishing the best procedures to fulfill client needs and KPIs while incorporating our own needs. Implementing store wide barcoding procedures, problem solving and methods to avoid future stock issues has been a core part of this role.

Coordinated the logistic movements of clients throughout New Zealand as well as globally. This includes both movements via international freighting as well as internal movements through arranging the distribution of local and international warehouse orders.This role included communicating with suppliers, co-loaders and clients, and quoting air freight, sea freight and courier prices to meet deadlines for clients.

Continued my role as a Customs Broker while coordinating the logistics movements of several clients in and out of multiple warehouses within New Zealand.This included processing orders issued by the clients, and arranging for the respective warehouse to pick, pack, & arrange delivery to the required destinations. I further monitored these deliveries until they reached their destination.As well as this, I looked after the import shipments of each, monitoring these from the time they left their origin port, until they reached their destination in New Zealand, Australia, the United Kingdom, or the United States of America.This role encased a full customer services role, speaking to the clients on a day-to-day basis, answering any queries, and ensuring that all freight arrived when required.

I am a qualified CustomsBroker who was working in both a customs operations and a customs broking role. My day to day tasks included facilitating customs clearances (both import and export), monitoring incoming shipments, and organizing the delivery of incoming goods.I was required to customs clear transhipment shipments on behalf of a variety of cruise ships due into Auckland & Tauranga ports in particular. I arrange Biosecurity clearance where necessary, and arranged delivery to each of the cruise ships.I was also required to customs clear export shipments on behalf of a range of consignees on a weekly basis.
