So what kind of tech nerd am I? Rather than being wedded to particular technologies, I prefer to match appropriate technology to the real-world user problems and abilities. It's what brought me to startups and keeps me here, loving the variety and opportunity presented in discovering technological solutions for people and businesses, who are trying to succeed in what they invest their time, energy, and money in.With so many plates to be kept spinning in a startup, I'm at my best getting my hands dirty turning cash register fraud signatures into algorithms, optimising the security of an AWS tech stack, digging deep into an end-users frustrations over a screenshare call, and nailing down a live product demo for a prospective client. In charge of technology and product at NetMap Analytics, I am responsible for the success of NetMap's primary Fraud and Retail Loss Prevention analytic tool, DetectR. This includes advancing the product vision and development, management of Amazon AWS resources, directing the .NET development team, and account management for our primary customers David Jones, Country Road Group.Down-time includes family, geeking out over bikes and cycling them, climbing / bouldering problems at a local gym, reading Hitchens / Heller / Fisk, and political podcasts every other minute I have.
Listed skills include Software Development, Java, Eclipse, Java Enterprise Edition, and 7 others.
