I was responsible for planning, managing and executing in-depth content plans that helped DotActiv attract, win and retain customers. That included writing and editing well-researched articles that answered questions searched for by our customers and the public, case studies documenting client success, and comprehensive ebooks that educated anyone.

Along with that, I wrote weekly features and original content for media update, a website that focuses on the South African marketing, media, PR and social media industries.

I pitched and wrote weekly articles and features, attended events and built contacts as the Cape Town-based journalist for the publication. I took over the running of the publication in mid-2012. From mid-2012 until December 2014, I was solely responsible for the running of three separate websites – Publicity, Media, and Marketing Update before it was.

Time-critical, I wrote short, sharp summaries of the news stories of the day found in Cape Town’s main morning newspapers for select clients.

I wrote concise news summaries of various radio and TV news bulletins, business programmes and talks shows for a variety of clients.
