Working in partnership with clients, advising them how to use information technology and eGovernment Shared Services in order to meet their business objectives or overcome problems. This involves me to define, implement and manage initiatives, in my capacity as an an expert on eGovernment Shared Services. I also maintain a holistic view of the Agency’s strategy, processes,information and ICT assets whilst using my domain knowledge to link the business mission, strategy and processes to the IT strategy.My main tasks are as follows:- To devise business improvement opportunities and create proposals for the use of eGov Shared Services- Align IT strategy and planning with the organisation’s business goals- Streamline business processes, functions, procedures and workflows and apply a consistentimplementation approach- Manage the communications with stakeholders; deliver presentations, contribute articles andparticipate in meetings and conferences on related issues and initiatives- Take full responsibility for the definition and successful completion of large-scale and/or complexinitiatives with due attention to the business and political sensitivities, impacts, risks anddependencies.- Guide clients and stakeholder senior management towards accepting change. Assists businessowners with readiness assessments and implementation plans, including all the activities that thebusiness needs to do to prepare for the new aspects introduced by the initiative and/ortechnology.

- Lead the day-to-day activities of a project for the delivery of new products or services to the appropriate levels of quality, on time and within budget, and in accordance with company and EU policies and procedures. - Engage and support the client in the compilation of plans and in the definition and launch of related initiatives within area of responsibility.- Assist the client and/or the Agency in the preparation of Business Cases for initiatives and for the development of costed proposals and tenders.- Plan and design various deliverables within the Project/Service/Function, regularly monitoring their overall progress, resolving issues and initiating corrective action as appropriate.- Lead the procurement process for professional products/services from specification, to placing contracts, ensuring strict adherence with public procurement legislation.- Manage third party contributions to the project/service/function such as contractors. - Contribute towards communications with stakeholders; deliver presentations, contribute articles and participate in meetings and conferences on related issues and initiatives.- Contribute towards risk management – anticipate and prevent bottlenecks, manage prioritization and balance needs, initiating extra activities and other management interventions wherever gaps in the project/service/function are identified or issues arise.- Report progress at regular intervals to the various stakeholders and escalate issues when necessary.- Keep abreast of the international and especially EU trends and participate and represent MITA in related events, building relationships with academic, government, and corporate institutions.- Transfer skills to more junior members of staff; assist with identifying the training needs of the staff within the team and ensures that those that are agreed to are scheduled and delivered.

As a senior management member, reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer, my role entails me to manage the following main functions:Technology Budgeting:a. Setting up the strategy with the CTO, aligned with Vodafone Group and Organisational goals for the years aheadb. Construction of both CAPEX and OPEX budgets with all technology units aligned with set strategy above and submission to Vodafone Groupc. Management of the budget during the financial year ensuring healthy CAPEX investment and continued control on the technology OPEX costsTechnology Efficiency and Process Improvement:a. Control of spend and monthly tracking and reporting, thus ensuring that budgetary targets are metb. Advising CTO on critical budgetary decisions for correct decision making at a senior management levelc. Project management of new capital projects that bring about cost savings and reduce OPEX (operational expenses)d. Renegotiation of critical maintenance and support agreements to bring about cost savings for the companyPurchase and Performance Monitoring Unit:a. Overseeing the Purchase Requisition Function ensuring continued budget allocationb. Submission of critical reporting to the CEO, CTO, Vodafone Group CTO, and Vodafone Group critical areas to report on local market progress and updatec. Communication arm of the department

- Coordinate the business delivery road-map and end to end delivery of selected programmes or projects in a telecommunications environment.- Manage requests originating from the organisation, whilst ensuring that these are aligned with the strategy and priorities- Prioritisation of activities requested by the business stakeholders to maximise the use of available remote/matrix resources- Ensure the Project is identified, defined and governed, managed and closed in a manner that ensures benefits and outcomes are realised to the defined parameters and to the expectation of internal and external stakeholders- Develop, lead and manage the delivery of selected Programmes/Projects- Manage Project financials- Stakeholder and work stream management to ensure successful end to end delivery of Programmes/Projects as per agreed scope, timelines and budget.- Promote effective cross-functional teamwork throughout the delivery life-cycle
