I manage all client requests, test and FIX on-boarding and provide support to external clients and internal traders for all production trading related problems I also work on projects and upgrades within the bank.I work closely with various vendors including IRESS, Bloomberg, Reuters, Fidessa, Radianz, TNS, CameronFIX, NYFIX and GL.Since joining Commonwealth Bank I have been working on projects to migrate all FIX clients over to a new FIX engine environment.. This involved re-testing and certifying with clients and planning production migrations, and working closely with the traders and the clients to ensure a smooth transition. I was the Client Connectivity Manager in London; I looked after all of our client implementations. This involves speaking with the business who sold the product and then liaising with our clients to onboard via FIX. I worked with the client from start to finishand then provided support once the session was implemented into our production.I liaised with vendors such as Bloomberg, Reuters, Tradeware, Fidessa and GL for various projects assigned to me and any production support issues that arise. I worked closely withmy development colleagues in New Jersey who implement/develop client request that came into me, I then project managed this and updated our clients accordingly. I worked closely with Sungard as our server was located onsite (Sungard) and Sungard managed this server on behalf of BBH.I also supported internal colleagues (Traders, Middle Office) who received queries from external clients and any system issues they encountered. This involved looking up orders in the FIX logs and checking the OMS or speaking with one of our vendors.I worked mainly with Equities but also tested and set up an Options connection from Bloomberg.

I worked at Bloomberg for 7 years, 2 years as a Electronic Trading implementation engineer. I worked in a team of 4 covering from 8am to 5pm plus any extra hours needed. I liaised with clients and our sales reps regarding FIX connectivity, Bloomberg Applications, Broker Codes configurations, and FIX Server connections. I had conntact with clients regarding FIX server IP addressing, add static routes and NATs if required.I would speak to clients advising them of test and production IP/Port numbers so that clients can prepare their network/firewall.Once connectivity was made, test orders are sent. Once the client and Bloomberg were happy we would proceed to the certification process and the finally move the session to production.Bloomberg products that we setup were EOR, Fixed Income, SSEOMS, Tradebook, IOI's. I mainly dealt with clients within the EMEA region, and occasionally deal with the US customers. Before joining the FIX team I looked after the LAN in London and Europe supporting mainly Cisco switches/routers ie 6500's, 4500's, 3550's plus we have a few Nortel 8600's switcheslocated in some of the news bureaus.My day to day consisted of the monitoring network with tools such as Ciscowork, Eye of the Storm and NAI Distributed Sniffers and fix faults that arise plus projects that were assigned to me.One project I completed was to re-designed the Paris bureau network to condense 8 switches into 5 (6509), this wasso we could allocate 3 of the switches to the Frankfurt.new bureau.I also setup a network for our disaster recovery in our docklands office. I liaised with vendors ie Cisco, Nortel, NAI regarding problems, updates and support.
