A biomass boiler and renewable energy company based in the Midlands.Initially working on my own, as I took over from the previous warehouse manager, I was responsible for preparing orders for a variety of customers and partners, stock management, loading and unloading goods using the 4 tonne forklift counter balance truck.I was teamed with a logistics manager and an operations manager as I progressed, and after my initial three months I was finally teamed with a warehouse supervisor. Going from a one man operation, to a fully functioning team, this then lead to Rural Energy investing in refurbishing the Warehouse and Logistics department, and instigating new processes within the company to help refine our weekly work schedules, deadlines and key performance indicators.

Having been taken on as a prefabrication studio supervisor, I initially had to design the layout of the 1,000 sqft of space and make it into a functioning work space.Some equipment was already in place, such as a wall mounted, adjustable circular saw blade platform, table drill press, mini CNC router and others. I had to organise and create a stock list of all inventory and product, while preparing for the installation of a new Piranha PJCM2030-3 CNC 3x2 mtr machine that I would be in charge of.Working on a 4 day average turn around system from the customer making their order, I was given a list every morning of various sheet materials, order relevant dimensions, and files so that I could program the designs into the CNC software operating system; Vetric, and send the finalised cut sheets to the rear studio for decals, covers, finishing and assembly in some cases, before it was dispatched to the customer or taken to the job site for installation.I also helped during large orders by operating a 3.5 tonne Mitsubishi fork truck for loading and unloading as I was the only person qualified.
