As an Electrical design Engineer, I was responsible for implementing and designing electrical services for a wide range of small to medium projects.I was involved in projects from the design stage, to tender and through the construction stage of a wide range of projects varying in size. Key skills that I developed during my time in J V Tierney's were Project management, communication, LV distribution and lighting design.

My duties of a Swimming Instructor involved teaching children's group lessons while communicating with others instructors and ensuring that each swimmer is progressing during the swim term. My duties of a lifeguard included ensuring the safety of all pool users, carrying out pool tests on each pool, providing professional customer service to all members and lane management.

During my time working with Arup I have had the opportunity to work and develop my software skills such as Revit, CAD, Dialux, Relux and Amtech, In addition to this I had the opportunity to work hands on with a variety of on going projects. During my time in Arup I worked closely with the mechanical and electrical department allowing me to develop existing skills and learn new skills during my time spent as an intern. Through my work I have furthered my knowledge and understanding of many aspects of Electrical and Building Services Design Engineering.

My duties as a swimming instructor involved teaching both adult and children's group and private lessons. My duty as a swim teacher involved teaching a variety of ages both in the water on the bank. It was my responsibility to ensure children progressed at a steady state and maintained their interest in swimming. In addition to teaching swimming techniques I was also responsible for teaching aqua aerobics to users of the gym.
