At ViaMedia my role entailed the following:Manage Team:Plan and allocate team tasks, track progress, raise issues, manage HR process in conjunction with application development manager.Manage full tech team while tech development manager is on leave.Component Deployment:Liaise with business and interpret requirements, aid in design and development of modular components to solve business needs. Provide agreed functionality, within agreed estimated timeframes, adhering to development and deployment standards.Component Uptime and Support:Maintain a target of continued fully functional component uptime excluding maintenance windows and 2 week post go live settling periods. Attend to system alerts raised on production and business support requests.Innovation:Proactively suggest new products, components, and development techniques such as re-use, frameworks, design patterns and standards to enhance development delivery and business profitability. Team work:Communicate changes made and/or components launched, assist others with development and/or production issues, contribute to design discussions and assist business with new and existing products. Train team members on new components for tools.Business Support/Component Development:Interact across all teams (including tech, business and marketing) to ensure speedy and stable implementation of developed components.Liaise with 3rd party suppliers and consumers of content and API's and architect best possible integration with our platform. Where necessary document existing software and provide UML related documentation for new components as a platform to stimulate discussion across teams and departments.Present new software to business and manage feedback into ongoing enhancements.My key strengths beyond developing highly scalable and reliable software are communication, project management, usability, teamwork and problem solving.
