• Define strategy and articulate the vision and mission of each product roadmap, including planning, defining release cycles, implementation, and prioritization through all stages of the product lifecycle• Act as the user champion when coordinating product development team interaction with business stakeholders and align all development activity with business goals and priorities• Build the business case for product investments driven by customer requirements, competitive landscape and company strategy.

• Responsibility for Hadoop Product Line P&L. • Define the vision, strategy, and execution for Teradata's Hadoop offerings. • Determine the key areas where Teradata R&D should be investing in order to maximize future revenue potential, meet customer requirements, and maintain our competitive edge.• Meet face to face with key customers, field resources, architects, and analysts to gather product requirements for areas of responsibility.• Train and mentor junior product managers, solution architects, and sales teams.

• Generate, validate, and prioritize requirements for tactical and strategic roadmaps.• Review and investigate emerging technologies to make a “Buy, Build, or Partner” recommendation. • Liaison between Engineering teams and multiple 3rd party vendors and partners.• Present at internal and external facing events including industry events and user conferences in the role of a subject matter expert. (Teradata User Group Conference Speaker 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014)

• Define the vision, strategy, and execution for Teradata's enterprise enabling and client technologies. • Determine the key areas where Teradata R&D should be investing in order to maximize future revenue potential, meet customer requirements, and maintain our competitive edge.• Manage a variety of release deliverables and coordinate not only within Teradata R&D but also with other organizations like global learning, professional services, deployment, marketing, professional services, and sales to coordinate all deliverables required to release the features and/or products.• Meet face to face with key customers, field resources, architects, and analysts to gather product requirements for areas of responsibility.
