As the Assistant Commissioner for the bureau of Division Management and Systems Coordination responsibilities include managing the Division’s budget; fiscal planning; human resources; contracts, grants and procurement; facilities; and emergency planning and operations. Provide consultation and serve as a key advisor to the Deputy Commissioner and other Assistant Commissioners in developing budget strategies to best support programmatic and administrative operations.

Manage the administrative functions of the Center for Health Equity. The Center for Health Equity (CHE) aims to strengthen and amplify the Health Department’s work to eliminate health inequities rooted in historical and contemporary injustices and discrimination, including racism. The Executive Director oversees and monitors division-wide human resources and is responsible for the fiscal oversight of the Center for Health Equity. Responsibilities include building, developing and maintaining working relationships and collaborative arrangements with community-based organizations, municipal agencies and other institutions.

Responsible for the development and implementation of key initiatives to address health concerns including HIV/AIDS, obesity prevention, maternal/child health, tobacco control, diabetes, physical activity, nutrition, teen pregnancy prevention, and bicycle safety. Collaborating with key municipal agencies, DOHMH programs to establish strategic relationships with community partners on innovative health promotion activities. Providing staff with managerial, administrative and programmatic oversight on the mission and vision of the DOHMH.

Responsible for developing and implementing new policies and procedures for the SRO program based on client usage, epidemiological trends, and current city/state/federal fundingOversee the Ryan White Title 1 contract with the SRO Project.Assist in the preparation, development, and implementation of case management (Return to Supervision, Contact tracing, & Directly Observed Therapy) protocols Ensure the case management and treatment of all SRO clients on Directly Observed Therapy (DOT)Develop goals in accordance to DOHMH policy, and CDC recommendations.
