Truth and Transformation will focus on people and events in Atlanta that have not been recognized or memorialized, with a specific interest in addressing two glaring omissions: convict leasing atrocities at the Chattahoochee Brick Factory and Bellwood Quarry and the 1906 Atlanta Race Massacre, where at least 25 African Americans were lynched over a four-day killing spree. n this role, he leads The Center’s work which explores the truth of US history using strategies of memorialization, commemoration, organizing, education, and civic engagement. He works with a wide range of community partners working in coalition and collaboration to create a civic architecture by confronting our history of racial discrimination and its manifestations today and charting collaborative a path forward on racial equity.

As an Odyssey fellow, I organized guided conversations around race, mass incarceration, and recidivism within local congregational contexts, utilizing documentary film resources provided by Odyssey Impact and their partners. During my fellowship, my team and I were also able to create a Reentry referral list for local congregations to use, worked with local prosecutors and courts to address youth recidivism, and currently hosts a monthly healing space for survivors of incarceration and family members.

Through a combination of creative storytelling and cultural organizing, we aim to lift up those stories in a way that breaks down barriers and equips everyday citizens with the tools they need to build stronger, cohesive communities, through better conversations.The Community Manager works to build a community of hosts and participants by finding, training, and engaging hosts and strategic partners and developing resources for those who want to facilitate meaningful conversation and uncommon connections. With strategic partners, the Community Manager works alongside partners to design tailored experiences and opportunities for ongoing relationship-building. Helps to manage logistics and support event execution tailored to each partner.

I also formally and informally assessed students, communicated daily with parents and guardians and built community with fellow teachers. I also coordinated the schools Father-Daughter dance, organized the school's annual spelling bee and also assisted with the planning and logistics of various school events.
