As a kid, my parents use to ask me if I would ever be quiet, because of how easily I could talk to anyone. However as the years went by I realized that though getting your information across was important, it is not as listening to people and doing so will build a good relationship either personal or in business. And good relationships are needed in all aspects of life from work to family. And I feel that over the years in my line of work I have been able to learn how to effectively listen to our customer's and help them achieve the goals they have in mind. Not that everything goes perfectly every time, as that is not possible, but when other members of the company fly around the world to sell our products, it makes me feel good that our customer's ask about me. And as one Senior Executive once said to me, "I flew all the way to Berlin, Germany to talk to Bloomberg News, to implement our software for their European customers, and one of the first things they ask is, So how is Darrin doing?"
