Current●Demonstrated proficiency in managing operations within a top tier COMAH (Control of MajorAccident Hazards) site including oversaw the planned, preventative, fault diagnosis and emergency repairs of all sites ancillary machinery including, centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, heat exchangers, gear boxes, air motors, gantry cranes, molten steel vessels, fixed pipe work, diesel engines, conveyor belt systems, vibration screens and NSB Di-8 locomotives.● Conduct and facilitate root cause failure analysis on all mobile and fixed plant machinery along with maintaining and improving mechanical systems to reduce downtime and comply with maintenance specifications according to OEMs for warranty purposes● Experience with significant equipment components including final drives, transmissions, torque converters, engines, hydraulics and pneumatics● Responsible for the training and mentoring of new to site apprentices● Maintained excellent housekeeping standards within the workshop, used a variety of power tools and utilised effective communication with all mechanics and customers● Safely operate LVs to drive to and from sites, on various main roads to transport equipment and supplies to the sites and driving to conditions● Responsible for organising ordering of parts and ensuring that work is completed safely and within specific timeframes, budgets and according to client and contractual KPI objectives.● Perform daily vehicle prestart inspections reporting any maintenance issues immediately and tagging out unsafe machinery● Liaising with other contractors and trades to ensure the work is completed safely and, in a prompt, manner● Ensuring full statutory and safety compliance of all maintenance activities, with the strong implementation of OH&S safe working practices including wearing the correct P.P.E for the task, conducting risk assessments, JHA’s, using effective 2-way radio communication, Take 5’s andworking under Permits to Work and Isolations
