I am a seasoned NGO professional whose core motivation is to make my community a better place, and to ensure that there is a world for future generations to enjoy. These motivations led me to work in the environmental field for 5 years after college. While this work was very fulfilling, a desire to further my professional career led me to my current position with St. Martin de Porres Academy, an independent school which provides low-income students from the Greater New Haven area with a quality, tuition-free education. Through both of these work environments, I have built a unique combinations of skills ranging from running a political campaign, to grant writing and donor relations, to training and professional development. I am always looking for new opportunities to challenge me and stretch myself in my areas of knowledge. Recently, I was voted onto the Black Rock Neighborhood Revitalization Zone Board of Directors in a desire to stay involved in local politics and help make my neighborhood a more vibrant and livable place for everyone.
