I moved from Senior Administrator in to the Role of Instore Marketing Manager for Penicuick (Part of the same group as Weatherseal). I was offered a fantastic opportunity to run a team of people. I was responsible to generate leads for the company along with manage a team of 8-10 employees. we worked at 3 main department stores over Scotland along with 2 / 3 different 'pop up shops'​ over the month. My main duties were:- *to hit set KPI's and targets by motivating the team*Recruitment of new employees, *Training of new employees, *regular training sessions with all team members, *weekly one to ones with team, * Goal and KPI setting, *travelling to different branches daily to assist the team in the stores, *arranging monthly / weekly promotions for the clients to take part in, *payroll duties*intensifying the team

I was hosted by Stoneridge for a 12 week HR placement. I came 1 day a week from January and March 2012 as part of my degree at Abertay University.My main focus and purpose in this placement was to get and overview of the HR Department and how the different functions come together, from shadowing the HR Director to working alongside the HR assistant. Throughout my time I worked alongside different recruitment agency's and was assisting with the recruitment of new employees, here is where I found my interest in recruitment.

When I began at Weatherseal I had taken on the role of the office administrator and quickly progressed to Senior Administrator within the first year. This was through my commitment to the office and the people I was supporting. Main duties on a weekly / daily bases consisted of:- *Booking in Interviews for Call Center managers*Co-ordinating training and assessment centers for Call center new starts * Weekly board reports for the Managing Director and the Board of Directors Collating weekly figures from all branches across the UK, * Liaising with all levels of management daily through out the different divisions - Manufacturing, Sales, Payroll and accounts. * Data input, * general office duties - Payroll for the 6 others in the team, weekly rota and scheduling for the office cover, holiday and sickness cover, filing / faxing etc
