Older Adults Technology Services from AARP (OATS) advocates for technology inclusion for the 50-plus, providing digital literacy training and programming to older adults. With nearly two decades of experience and insights into how older people interact with technology as well as its flagship programs like Senior Planet, OATS uses its resources to create world-class programs that form the basis for systems change.I work to build and enrich the daily life of Senior Planet participants in San Antonio and the Southeastern region of the United States. The role manages operational systems, schedules projects, deploys training curricula, and creates special events that advocate for digital equity for older adults. I lead a team that cultivates and manage relationships with partner organizations and that looks harness the power of technology to change the way we age.

I successful managed and expanded the organization’s community health management initiative designed for at risk populations in San Antonio that offered year-round wellness programs. • I administered and managed Family Wellness Programing at the Wesley Health and Wellness Center. This position required strategic planning of in-house wellness resources with local city-based organization (CBO), faith-based organizations (FBO), nongovernmental organizations (NGO), and other health-oriented entities to benefit our clients. All processed data gathered from my programs to improve program fidelity and program impact by staff members. I directly lead a programming budget of $500,000 and supervised well over $1,000,000 of organizational resources.• I supervised and trained a team of seven Wellness Specialists and 20 college aged interns/ volunteers that facilitated yearly programs and activities. Combined efforts led to the creation of outcome based social and wellness programs oriented to train and educate youth, adults, and seniors within the parameters of the organization’s licensing. Program data was recorded and used to calibrate the impact of program services in the areas of academic achievement, physical fitness, and overall health. Data outcomes and data collecting methodologies were used to maintain grants from the City of San Antonio and support the center’s external marketing efforts.

I functioned in a pivotal management position with a military property book office which was contracted by the U.S. Army from ManTech International; one of the U.S. governments leading providers of innovative technologies and solutions for the Department of Defense, State, Homeland Security, and other agencies. I achieved a Secret Clearance (S) with U.S. Department of the Army. In this supervisory role, I negotiated deployment/ redeployment event schedules, directed inventory support teams, designed equipment databases for data conversion, and collaborated with government agencies to resolve problems to further customer relations.
