I spent part of my early years traveling throughout Connecticut with my father -a painting contractor, fine finisher, and decorator - witnessing the renovationsand remodels of many homes. Amongst designers, contractors, and differenttradesmen, I took time to take in the architecture, design, colors, interiors, andstyles of the projects I sometimes helped him to paint.It was then I realized my drive for architecture and design, which led me tolater receive my Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from NYIT in 1990. Duringthis time I apprenticed as a draftsman and designer with a Swiss-Germanarchitect, Juerg Steinegger, designing Corporate bank interiors. Here, I beganto develop my appreciation for fine, natural materials, and how importantlythe details mattered when they touched each other in our work. Hence, I'man advocate of "in the nature of materials". Primarily new real estate, as undevelopedspaces, everything was detailed by the architect, accounting for the immenseamounts of custom cabinetry, mill work and furniture we designed and detailed. These early exposures helped me advance to various positions in Custom Cabinetryand Furniture Showrooms, working as a Sales Associate and Design Professional.After which, I worked as a Project Manager for Jacob Froehlich Cabinet Worksperforming residential mill work fit-outs, and later, on my own as a Project Managerand Sales/Design Associate.
