• In charge of the technical management and delivery of a fleet of Aframax Tankers and Panamax Bulk carriers to the satisfaction of the clients. • Clients included Shell, Chevron and Total and COSCO.• Reduced OPEX spending by motivating the on board management team to use data and learn from sister vessels.• Introduced the onboard management team to Aspect Analysis to bring about more awareness of the Environmental obligations. • Monitoring the Fleet Technical & Environmental Performance using KPI and insuring Company Standards were met. • Managed the new building program, directing the newbuilding team and reviewed newbuilding drawings.• Ensured new building vessels were asset inventory was completed and PMS system set up during the building program.• Ensured lessons learnt were communicated fleet wide and were implemented within the new building program.• Authored the SEEMP for the vessels in the fleet and got classification approval for the same. • Managing a fleet of Aframax Tankers ensuring the vessels met the Statutory, Class and Oil Major requirements. • Part of the team that authored the ISM system and introduced its use to the vessels. Auditing and monitoring the understanding, use and implementation, making corrective actions where necessary• Worked towards introducing a Risk based safety culture so that accidents were reduced. • Worked as part of the team to implement the ISM System on board the fleet of ships• Work out of the TK Tokyo office as the Project Lead introducing the Computerized PMS system (Amos D) on board the fleet of ships and Training the staff in the use. Both onboard and classroom training were delivered. • As project lead was called upon to train the staff on board as well as class room sessions in various parts of the world. • Worked as a Senior Technical Superintendent in the Standards and policy team initiated fleet wide projects and coordinated their implementation. • Attended new building in the Onomichi shipyard in Japan.• Liaised with Oil Major vetting inspectors ensuring that any deficiencies found were attended to timely.
