The Spill Monitor was a monthly e-publication launched in January 2012 which focuses on the science related to oil spill prevention, recovery, consequences and remediation.

The CARESS project was funded by the Champlain Local Health Integration Network, and governed by a Steering Committee representing the community support services (CSS), Community Care Access Centre (CCAC), Community Health Centres (CHC) and Community Resource Centres (CRC) sectors. The overall objective of the project is to improve the client experience while navigating the range of available services from over 70 agencies. I was hired on a part-time contract basis.The work continues on a part-time basis under the auspices of the Champlain LHIN and the Champlain Community Support Services Network.During my time with the Champlain community health sectors, and particularly the Champlain Community Support Services (CSS) sector, we made great strides in implementing technologies to enable better support for our clients, raising the profile of the sector, and creating internal standards for systems development and use of consistent tools across approximately 60 not-for-profit agencies. Today, the public can find Champlain CSS services and book in-take appointments on-line (https://www.caredove.com/champlaincss), in English or French. Virtually all the agencies now use the same client management tool (effectively an ERP for community health agencies). Most of these agencies have their agency system hosted within our own service bureau and centre of expertise, reducing specialist IT workload within the individual agencies. With client consent, health assessments can be shared across agencies and with other health service providers in the local area.

EVCO is a non-profit, volunteer organization that promotes the use of environmentally-superior electric drive technology where it is appropriate. During my tenure, EVCO resurrected administrative tools to improve membership communication, taught the EV Fundamentals course, hosted 2 EV Expos, attended numerous events to promote electric vehicles, installed a high-capacity Level 2 charging station and saw the electric car population in Ottawa rise by at least a factor of 6.

Led up to 12 technical resources (as required) through data modelling, database design, coding, testing, user acceptance testing and deployment in the Alberta Ambulance Information Management System (AAIMS) Phase II Project. Also wrote and delivered all architectural documents for the project, and provided quality assurance on most of the business side documentation.
