My role was to facilitate a national consistency across the program and where appropriate state level engagement. Provided a wide range of support to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Practice Centre:• Assist in the Management of the Service Funding Agreements for local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Service Provders including variations. • Preparation of brief and minutes.• Providing input into key operational documents. • Providing secretariate support for ATSIEB meetings.

• Assist clients with with disability of all ages in many ways including transportation to appointments, in-home assistance with domestic tasks and assistance with shopping.• Tailor service delivery to suit the individual needs of each person and their care plan, working closely with carers, case managers and family members.

• My role focused on establising a structure for a new section, classifyng work and ensuring that the team’s roles covered the CDP Program’s administrative requirements. • Drafted key Ministerial documentation in response to a review of the program and recommendations regarding future team management.

• Supported the Remote Housing Review by undertaking a literature review and analysing the features of previous remote housing program to identify useful strategies.• Drafted chapters of the review report in consultation with stakeholders. • Coordinated review activities including organising meetings and coordinating papers.

• Lead a cross-agency team of senior case coordinators providing support services to vulnerable Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families. Also advised key stakeholders. • Provided high-level advice and assistance to a Steering Committee and business areas on operational and strategic issues.• Built and maintained strong working relationships with stakeholders across Government and Indigenous community organisations to improve outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, young people and their families.• Built positive relationships with the United Ngunnawal Elder Council and supported their work with efficient secretariat services and advice. • Developed and facilitated a cultural proficiency training program, later rolled out widely.

• Provided administrative support to Local Aboriginal Land Councils (LALCs) (Southern Zone). • Managed the various priorities ranging from interpreting legislation to running a workshop or conducting a risk assessment.• Prepared the business plan and structured reports supported by analysis of Land Rights and Native Title.• Developed and facilitated LALC training, and negotiated strategic outcomes. with LALCs • Provided valuable assistance with several LALC Community Development Projects.• Wrote multiple opinion pieces published in the National Indigenous Times .

• Administered and reported on the National Partnership Agreement on Remote Indigenous Public Internet Access (RIPIA) including the involvement of five participating jurisdictions.• Developed telecommunications addressing the specific needs of Indigenous Australians.• Departmental representativee on Interdepartmental Committees for Indigenous matters.• Managed RIPIA according to the Federal Finance Relationship Framework and Financial Management and Accountability Act 1997, consistently within budget. • Lead the impementation of the well received Virtual Advisor Program (VAP).

• Managed service provider Funding Agreements to install, monitor and maintain community phones in remote Indigenous communities.• As Assistant Section Manager of the Carer Payment Review Section implemented the recommendations of the Carer Payment (Child) Review undertaken in 2007.
