CurrentAt Erisco, we develop and manufacture battery-less smart padlocks. Our locks utilize NFC (near field communication) to harvest power from user’s phones as well as authenticating the user. What does this mean? • Our locks don’t have a battery! The Achillies heal of smart locks are their batteries! We never have problems with dead batteries. We are also able to operate in lower temperatures than battery powered locks (down to minus 40). • Our locks are always offline. In fact, even users don’t need to be online to open or close our locks. Access to the lock is managed through our app. You can deploy our lock in a remote location where there is no network coverage and then add and remove access rights from users. • Our locks are secure. We use modern cryptography to authenticate users and distribute users’ rights via X501 certificates. • We have all of the normal smart lock stuff, such as keeping a record of who has opened and closed the lock, being able to quickly and remotely add and remove access, being able to configure access for a particular time period and so on.
