I am a 3rd year Engineering Product and Design student at SUTD seeking a summer 2024 internship. There was always hope that people would work to stop environmental damage, but as time went on, not enough work was done. That was when I realized that I would have to take an active role if I wanted a better world.This has driven my passion for discovering new things and new experiences. I cannot better the world by staying cocooned in Singapore; I have to develop as broad an experience base as possible if I am to become an engineer who is aware of the implications their work has on the environment.During my studies, I won 3rd place in EMA-Sembcorp's Energy Challenge 2021. I also worked on projects related to energy generation and management: I built an updraft tower designed to recover energy from air-conditioning units for my term 1 project, a sun-tracking, solar-powered dryer in term 3, and a dynamically colour-changing pen in term 5.Despite my accomplishments, I am not just an engineer. I am a music-lover, writer, hiker, cyclist, and mechanic. I have conducted forest and river studies in the jungles of Brunei. I rescued injured people at sea. I worked in warehousing. I performed in front of audiences and studied world history. My diverse range of experiences have made me an all-rounded person, and hopefully, a better, more conscientious engineer.I am still a student at SUTD, still learning new things every day. I am now looking for an internship to continue my growth, and I hope that you will give me this opportunity.
