With over two decades of experience in cardiology, my career has been defined by a profound commitment to both clinical excellence and innovative research. As a seasoned cardiologist, my expertise spans a range of areas within the field, including cardiac arrhythmia treatment, electrophysiology, and translational medicine.My journey began at the University of Ottawa, where I honed my skills in cardiac physiology and internal medicine. Subsequent years saw me deepening my expertise through residencies and fellowships in cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology, culminating in a prestigious postdoctoral fellowship at Johns Hopkins University.In my role at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, I have served as an Electrophysiologist, Attending Physician, and Director of the Cardiac Translational Medicine Lab. These positions allowed me to blend patient care with groundbreaking research, particularly in the field of exosome therapy for atrial fibrillation.One of my most significant achievements has been the founding of Rhythm Biotherapeutics Incorporated, where as CEO, I have spearheaded the development of innovative cardiac exosome therapies. This venture represents not just a leap in my professional career but also a significant contribution to the field of cardiac health.Throughout my career, I have been recognized for my contributions to medical research and patient care.
