My job duties are to assembly and test aluminum and fiberglass electrical panels. I am experienced in multiple different applications of factory equipment including forklifts, Hughes and Weetech test machines and many hand tools and testing equipment. I was front line leader in the application of manufacturing processes that needed FAA approval. We used multiple tools to design these processes including 5S, ergonomics, and safety guidelines. I was quality focal for all work completed in my work area and responsible to constantly improve our quality by 25% each month. I kept accurate records of all defects and worked with individuals to reduce all defects to meet our goals. I was part of a team that worked under extreme pressure to obtain the difficult task of producing 2 ½ 737 airplanes per day. While working on the new 767 tanker I worked very closely with engineers and management to revise our work statement during our prototype equipment. Keeping in contact with management, engineers, and multiple work groups was a must with emails, metrics, work statements and progress. I worked in a fabrication environment making electrical wire bundles and installing them into electrical panels or into the airplane directly. The attention to detail was a must as one small defect or damage to any electrical installation could be catastrophic and lead to multiple hours of rework or costing the company substantial labor losses. As leader of WASA (Work Area Self-Assessment), I was responsible of maintaining and creating multiple word/excel documents that were shared amongst multiple organizations through a SharePoint site. While working on new installations we worked very closely with engineers to come up with solutions to problems while staying within weight and safety requirements that were a necessity to our schedule and customers.
