This position requires me to evaluate National Sporting Organisations (NSOs) Participation Plans and assess their ability to develop a comprehensive Workforce Development Plan which includes education and training of their paid and unpaid workforces. During this period I sat on the National Advisory Group for the revision of the Sport and Recreation Training Package.

The transition into a more strategic systemic approach to the development of high performance coaching has been a positive move in progressing the high performance agenda within Australia. My close collaboration with six national sporting organisations regarding their High Performance coaching pathways and coaches confirms that I have the skills relevant to the HP environment. My role included partnering with key NSOs and State Institutes of Sport / State Academies of Sport personnel on coaching profiling, targeted development, strategic planning and performance planning as well as the assessment of high performance plans.Further responsibility has included the case management of Coaching Scholarship Holders. I was also responsible for the management of the National Officiating Scholarship Program and liaised with 11 NSOs and 22 scholarship holders in the future direction of the Program. I was required to manage the National Officiating Scholarship Program team in the implementation of the National Officiating Scholarship Program for 2010. This role has required me to coordinate a team of ASC staff, liaise with 11 high profile NSOs and 22 scholarship holders in the implementation of the Program.

National Manager, Sports CONNECT.I managed and coordinated 24 National Sports Organisations and 12 Case Managers in the development and implementation of National Disability Action Plans.

I worked with 18 National Sporting Organisations in all areas of Coaching and Officiating training and other related issues.I strategically designed the way forward for the development of officials within Australia as it pertains to Recruitment, Training and Retaining. This includes the further enhancements of the National Officiating Scholarship Program and the development and implementation of the National Junior Officiating Academies Program.

I designed and managed the implementation of the blue print for the present day AASC program. This included the coordination of the trials with VicHealth, as well as the negotiations with cross government departments. This project was conceptualised and designed to use junior sport as the vehicle to affect the growing epidemic of childhood obesity. The blue print attracted $90 million dollars initially into the Australian Sports Commission over a four year period. In this position I managed two Canberra based staff and one Melbourne based staff member who was located in VicHealth I strategically influenced the design of the Junior Sport Framework in conjunction with the University of Queensland. This framework is the basis of all junior sport policies for all National Sporting Organisations within Australia. This framework addresses all facets of the junior sport environment. In this position I prepared ministerial briefs, interdepartmental briefs, ASC Board minutes and documentation for Senate Estimates.

Evaluated National Sporting Organisations’ strategic plans.

In this position I had the responsibility of liaising with 30 National Sporting Organisations in the development of Level 1 -3 National Coaching Accreditation Scheme Programs. Consulted on issues pertaining to Coaching and Coach Education.Other responsibilities included: Coordination of the State Coaching Centres Program. Coordinated the National Delivery of Level 1 and 2 Coaching Principles courses through the National Agency Program. Curriculum design for Level 1 and 2 Coaching Principles Syllabus. Appointed as the Mentor Coach by Basketball Australia. My role included the management and development of the 2004 Women's Wheelchair Basketball Team's 2004 Paralympic Games Campaign.Team achievements:2002 World Cup, Japan. Bronze Medal.2004 Paralympic Games, Athens.Silver Medal.

Volunteer Position.Chaired the Basketball Australia Junior Commission,Set the direction of the junior development program for all junior participants from grassroots to high performance playing basketball within Australia,Negotiated with State affiliates in achieving this outcome and growing the sport.
