I was asked by the new Director shortly after the National Center was created to come to Tuskegee to serve as the health law and policy consultant at the National Center, where I designed and implemented a community-based bioethics, public health policy research and technical assistance program to address poor, disadvantaged persons and communities of color. Accomplishments included three funded grants in the areas of ethics, end-of- life care and ethics leadership training.
