Started basketball league with some friends. Wanted to create a safe place where normal people can break a sweat, learn the game and compete. Some highlights... - Format was 6 teams playing 2 games a night with about 70 people playing a night.- The league was coed with no special rules for girls (until we found out some were playing pregnant)- The skill level ranged from semi-pro euroleague player to people touching a basketball for the first time in their life. - Competition was maintained with each game counting but every team making the playoffs. Lower seeded teams had to win back-to-back-to-back in one night to win the championship which at our age was pretty ridiculous- When people complained about minutes, it was because they had too many and they wanted a break- League became a place for people to find communities, calling and careers. - League ran for 16 seasons and ended because of Covid lockdowns.
