I lead the optimisation of Eurostar’s spend for their Operational delivery, FM, Capital Expenditure. I work within and leverage the market, utilising category management expertise to manage the acquisition of goods and services, with the aim of achieving optimal total cost along with total ownership together with the management of key supplier relationships. To accomplish this goal, I provide an end-to-end procurement service to key business stakeholders. I plan and lead category initiatives. I proactively lead sourcing projects, specification rationalisation and demand management, as well as managing category-specific supplier performance and compliance. Main Purpose of Position: The source and supply of machined, fabricated and proprietary components to fulfill Engineering project and Manufacturing production requirements. Specific Responsibilities: * The preparation and submitting of RFQ’s, cost-down negotiation and placement of contractual purchase orders for Engineering Prototype/Production and Manufacturing production components to suit the business requirements. * Continual maintenance and updating of purchasing data on SAP to support business process systems. * Liaising with internal and external vendors and customers to develop robust, value adding, working relationships. * Contract maintenance, working with suppliers to ensure that they have clear and concise understanding of our requirements and that components are delivered on time and in line with business expectations * Ensure that purchased parts adhere to the company’s required quality expectations and the applicable ISO and TS Standards. * Liaising with Sales, Engineering and Quality departments to assist with RFQ, project and quality requirements. * Identification, assessment and implementation of new suppliers, negotiation of terms and supply agreements including discount structures and volume cost-down scaling * Continuous improvement of purchasing processes and drive down of external spend. * Control and ownership of the purchase order process from purchase requisition, authorisation sign off, and purchase order release through to inventory delivery receipt.
