About Darryl Lowe

First licensed in 1974, Mr. Lowe’s practice has consisted of civil litigation involving primarily insurance defense at the trial and appellate level. He is licensed in Tennessee and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee, United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. In 1985 he started his own firm, Lowe & Shirley, which is the forerunner of Lowe, Yeager & Brown. His experience included medical malpractice defense, dental malpractice defense, asbestos personal injury and property damage defense, and nursing home defense. In addition to Tennessee, he has tried cases in Arkansas, Alabama, Texas, and Illinois.He began representing lawyers in 1984, and since approximately 1994 Mr. Lowe’s practice has consisted almost entirely of legal malpractice defense as well as advising and representing lawyers on matters related to the Rules of Professional Conduct. Mr. Lowe has been elected by his peers as one of the Best Lawyers in America under the category of Legal Malpractice every year since 1994 and has been elected again for 2012. Mr. Lowe has also qualified and testified as an expert witness in the field of legal malpractice.In addition to his practice in legal malpractice defense, Mr. Lowe is regularly involved in defense of nursing home litigation.
