I am working in the cardiovascular medicine department at the University of Oxford, undertaking research in the non-Gaussian diffusion properties of cardiac tissue using diffusion MRI.http://www.well.ox.ac.uk/darryl-mcclymont

• The hypothesis of this research was that the sensitivity and specificity of MRI for breast cancer can be improved using multi-modal magnetic resonance imaging coupled with novel multi-parametric computer-assisted.
• A new method for fully automatic detection and delineation of suspicious lesions in MRI
• Methodology for the extraction of new quantitative features characterising tissue morphology, microvasculature and microstructure
• Evaluation of the resulting CAD tools using clinical breast MRI data

At CSIRO I was involved in the development of software for real-time visualisation of CT data of the spinal column. The software designed to assist surgeons prior to operations on patients suffering from scoliosis. My main contribution to the project was to implement (in C++) 3D visualisation of the spine using ray-casting.
