CurrentManage and maintain MS SQL Server on Premise database environments of varying versions and configurations, build database systems of high availability and quality depending on each clients specialised requirementMonitor availability of managed assets via service portal, implement changes and apply new patches and versions as identified against compliance standardsDeliver timely support, integrated with other relevant technical groups, for assigned projects, applications, incidents, problems, changes and product releasesPerform system maintenance tasks as required to ensure health and availability of managed assetsMaintain a single source of information on managed assetsImplement and maintain DR solutions such as log Shipping, Database Mirroring, Windows Fail-over Clustering and Always on High AvailabilityProvide backup and recovery, capacity planning, monitoring and alerting for system availability issuesPerformance troubleshooting, Query Tuning, Index analysis, SQL Server migration, Database consolidationPerform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integritySite Reports, Server Health-checks, Site Audit, High level assessments - project proposal, Online presentations, Change approval meetings, Site visitsCreate and administer DBA training and assessment, peer review, one-on-one DBA mentor role
