I am a committed and optimistic individual who tries to be efficient in tasks done in a personal and professional capacity.I hold a National diploma in Electrical engineering, and experience in both construction electrical sites (electrical assistant in the oil industry), and production of laboratory test equipment at UCT’s centre for catalysis research (Manager of Electrical operations) I am currently an Electrical Technician at Cape Catalytix Pty Ltd. The nature of the environment has exposed me to the production process for Laboratory test equipment. The equipment functionality includes temperature control, flow control and gas pressure regulation, all of which are embedded in our customised software package. My job is to facilitate the production process from order to dispatch. This includes doing the necessary software updates (LabVIEW programming environment) as per request from management, Alternation 3D CAD drawing for custom modifications in SolidWorks, procurement of parts and connection and testing of the electronic and electrical components used to form the final product. I am a calm individual who strives to perform duties safely and according to regulation. I have therefore enrolled to undertake the Installation rules exams to advance my knowledge of safe electrical practices while obtaining authorisation to issue certificates of compliance in terms of SANS 10142.
