I researched story topics, developed pitches, interviewed sources, and wrote science news stories for release on the Delaware Public Media site. I also collaborated with the Science Editor to create a short radio segment for public broadcast. I also took photographs of sites and sources for publication alongside the science stories.

Worked as a Forestry Technician for the United States Forest Service on a Timber Marking Crew in the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest. Worked to improve forest health, decrease stand fire risk, and increase historical species preferences in the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest. Obtained CPR and First-Aid certification, chain saw certification, and yearly safety certifications through the Forest Service.

Worked as a Trail Crew Member for the United States Forest Service. Worked with a crew of five to maintain and clear trails for recreational and official fire use in the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest. Also obtained valuable skills as a crew member in navigation, map-reading, radio use, and tool use.
