• As the CHRO, and in partnership with a multidisciplinary team of 25 professionals, I was mandated with the delivery of corporate leadership and establishing and maintaining the HR function as a strategic business.
• Recommended to the Committee on Internal Economy, Budgets and Administration, strategies, mandates and positions for collective bargaining and matters arising from the Parliamentary Employment and Staff Relations Act.
• Advised the Executive Committee at the final level of the grievance procedure on all matters, including staffing, labour relations, collective bargaining, and classification, before such matters could be brought to.
• Worked with union partners to address significant industrial relations and human resource management, issues including the negotiation of major HR matters with an eye to resolution.
• Developed the Senate’s first developmental programs in the areas of financial management in order to deal with issues emanating from the Auditor General’s 2014 Audit of Senators’ expenses.
• Implemented complete HR systems reviews and reporting requirements under various acts of Parliament such as the Employment Equity Act, Official Languages Act, and PESRA.

• Managed the human and financial resources of the corporate HR section and directed the development of strategies, the implementation and delivery of external recruitment campaigns, including specialized recruitment for.
• Provided expert advice and briefings to the President of the School, branch management teams and senior executives across the School on executive group policy and program issues, many of a sensitive nature and often.
• Managed several groups, including: Executive Resourcing, Corporate HR programs (organizational design, corporate classification and staffing), Compensation & Employee Benefits, Labour Relations, HR Systems, and.
• Executed the Deficit Reduction Action Program (DRAP) at the School, including the elimination of the Language Training Sector, affecting over 270 employees by working with these employees to find them alternate work.
• HR corporate services received the President’s award of excellence for the management of the DRAP initiative in 2014.

• Managed the human and financial resources of the resourcing, classification, and compensation sections and directed and delivered strategies for external recruitment campaigns, including specialized recruitment for.
• Provided strategic advice, guidance and options for the department and its public safety portfolio partners developing HR plans, including options linked to employment equity, and diversity recruitment initiatives.
• Determined resolution in contentious cases under organization’s jurisdiction on matters related to staffing following consultation with departmental managers, employees, and union representatives.
• Developed, managed, and evaluated innovative talent management and development programs to infuse the department with long-term employees in corporate service areas of Finance, HR, Communications, IT.
