Hi, My Name is Darshan Soni. I am passionate to be a Quantitative Researcher at an impact investment firm. I am confident that I value add in quantitative impact investing in three ways: 1. by leveraging my market research experience in social impact domain, 2. by quant programming skills and 3. by my community development skills in impact space.I am skilled in in quant, sustainable finance, investors relations. market research and community development as a result of my interdisciplinary education and experiences in impact space. I am pursuing a post-graduate program in Business Insights and Analytics Program at Humber college after completing Bachelors and Post grad in Engineering and Finance, respectively. While working At AVPN, I completed market research on Sustainable Finance, DFIs and Gender Equity collaborating with 30+ partner organizations which eventually resulted in legacy engagement with G20 Summit, 10+ new member enrollment and 400,000 USD grant for projects. During my Undergraduate studies, I modelled in concepts of social sciences by integrating quantitative methods in tools such as MS Excel and MATLAB. I also developed education material for students which resulted in grade improvement by 25% in subsequent tests proving my value –add in Quant programming.I have founded and led 2 different organization in Impact Space – one is, A-League, India’s the first platform connecting 14-top universities for interdisciplinary partnership at all levels to foster venture ecosystem and impact work; and two, Student Chapter of AIChE (American Institute of Chemical Engineers), to address environmental impact by bridging the gap between industry and academia.As I am strengthening myself for quantitative and programming skills required to perform better as a Quant researcher.
