Current•Vessel Planning: Strategically plan vessel movements within the Port of Newcastle on behalf of Port Waratah Coal Services, ensuring the smooth and efficient coordination of maritime activities.•Resource Optimization: Collaborate closely with all port stakeholders to optimize the utilization of resources, thereby enhancing efficiency and effectiveness across the entire coal supply chain.•Cargo Assembly Stockpile Planning: Take charge of planning cargo assembly stockpiles, enabling the timely and efficient delivery of coal into the terminal while ensuring optimal asset utilization for Port Waratah Coal Services.•Maintenance Optimization: Evaluate existing maintenance plans and engage stakeholders to identify opportunities for better alignment with the system, minimizing overall maintenance impacts on operations.•Process Improvement: Identify potential areas for process improvement, substantiating findings with data and presenting recommended solutions for enhanced efficiency.•Technical Customer Engagement: Actively engage with customers at a technical level to address issues and propose alternative solutions, fostering collaborative relationships.•Peer Education: Educate peers within customer companies on the technical aspects of the Coal Chain and its supporting processes and systems, promoting knowledge sharing and understanding.•Resource Coordination: Collaborate with mining producers to efficiently plan resources and facilitate the timely delivery of coal to vessels, ensuring the smooth operation of the supply chain.•KPI Achievement: Meet key performance indicators (KPIs) across the entire industry by meticulously planning the coal chain with daily optimized plans, contributing to the industry's success.
