Worked at Daikin Energy Innovation Lab on the Factory Comforter (FacCo) project:FacCo is a personalized cooling system for workplace environments like factory workstations where the unit is fixed and it provides targeted cooling air by gimbaling the nozzle based on it's advanced perception capabilities.->Developed the Electro mechanical CAD design of the Gimballing Nozzle along with it's various Transitioning parts around the heat exchanger.->Developed the control circuit design which consisted of a Teensy duino, fan controller and a Sparkfun MLX IR camera. ->Written the control algorithm in teensy duino (Arduino) to filter the target object (i.e., human head at 38 deg C) using thresholding like Otsu's thresholding and used it to reorient the nozzle based on the region of interest->Working on improving the tracking by prototyping algorithms and sensor hardware, some of the combinations include EO/IR sensing where dual sensors triangulate the person's head position another prototype includes a stereo sensor which gives the 3d position of the human body based on the YOLO v5 tracking algorithm running in the background.

We participate in Association of Unmanned Vehicles Systems International (AUVSI) Student Unmanned Aerial Systems Challenge.Acting as the team lead I have following Roles and Responsibilities:1) Integration and Flight reliability of Airframe2) Integration of all subsystems of the competition( i.e., Autopilot, Imagery and Interop)3) Design lead for wing plane sizing and airframe4) Responsible for interop architecture and GCS integrationThe team consists of 12 students working in various subsystems to integrate ultimately in a UAV which is Fully autonomous, has long duration flight characteristics and performs SEARCH and RESCUE tasks by surveying through high tech imagery systems. Integrating Embedded electronics and on board computing requirements to a drone which includes use of machine learning algorithms and deep learning architectures The team is the first ever team from India to have an all composite body of the UAV including rohacell sandwich matrix and plain twill carbon fibre reinforcement ensuring ruggedness and long life of the aircraft.

We participate in SAE India Southern Section Aero Design Challenge in Micro Class with the aim of fabricating the lightest possible aircraft which can lift the maximum payloadExperiences and Roles:- Acted as team lead for 2 years and fabricated and flied more than 10 micro scale RC aircrafts- Design lead which included tasks like wing plane design and fuselage- Explored new materials like Carbon Fibre, HD thermocol, Balsa Wood etcAchievements:- 5th rank overall and Best Design Award in SAE India Southern Section Micro Category during the first edition of the competition held at RCPA Flying Field, Chennai. 2015-16.- 4th rank overall SAE India Southern Section Micro Category during the first edition of the competition held at Anna University, Chennai. 2016-17Innovations:Full scale 3d printed fuselage with design trade-offs like weight balancing, aerodynamics, and weight reduction. This was developed for 2016-17 SAE ADC edition. The material used was fully biodegradable PLA.
